Twinsie Tuesday: Favorite Discontinued Polish 3/31

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today for Twinsie Tuesday, I grabbed some of my Zoya Pixie Dusts to share with you! I love the Pixie Dusts and am sad that Zoya is discontinuing the line.

I used some nail vinyls to block off some space on my nail and painted Zoya Arianna, then Oswin in the middle, and Noir on the top of the nail (by the cuticle). It's hard to tell the difference in color between Arianna and Oswin but they did look different in person.

Make sure you check out the rest of the Twinsies posts!

Firecracker Lacquer Everyone I Love Is Dead Swatches

Hey guys!

Press Sample

I have three of the 7 polishes from Firecracker lacquer that will be releasing on April 2! I'm going to use Kendahl's descriptions for the polishes, because I thought they were entertaining, lol.

A Crown Well Deserved is an incredibly sparkly gold holo glitter topper, inspired by a character who doesn’t know when to shut his mouth and gets gilded because of it. Varying sizes of glitter make this topper scream from your fingertips. Layer it up for a full coverage crown for your nails!

I used 3 coats for this and it's not completely opaque but enough that I didn't think a 4th coat was necessary. So sparkly and pretty!

How to Kill a Mountain is a sand-colored crème with blood red glitters in varying sizes. This polish might possibly protect you from getting your eyes poked out. (This is not a guarantee, please do not intentionally seek to get your eyes poked out.)

I used 2 coats, plus top coat. I was fully anticipating having to use 3 coats for this but it covered nicely in two.

Titties & Dragons is a gray crème polish with glitters in gold, purple, and black. If one day you wake up and cannot overcome the urge to plunge yourself into a fire, make sure you wear this polish. You never know; you might come out of the fire naked with baby dragons!

I used 2 coats plus top coat. I like the combination of purple, black, and gold glitters in this gray crelly! It's very fun!

These polishes and 4 others from the collection will be available for purchase April 2, 2014 at 6pm MST on the www.firecrackerlacquer.com website.

Ooh La Lacquer Cruel Summer

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have the first of several Ooh La Lacquer's that I purchased a while back to share with you! I thought I would start with a bang and bring Cruel Summer to your eyeballs first :-)

Cruel Summer is a neon purple linear holographic that's just about the most awesome polish of life. This was 3 thin coats, no formula issues at all. I. Love. This. Polish!

You can purchase Ooh La Lacquer from her Etsy shop.

Deborah Lippman Laughing To The Bank & TBI Awareness

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose
(I purchased this polish with a gift card that I won from Deborah Lippman's Twitter contest)

The second polish I bought with my gift card (and paid the overage for) was Laughing To The Bank, a beautiful emerald green shimmer.

I wanted to use this polish because March is Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Awareness month and you might remember that my future SIL was in a terrible car accident the day after Christmas and suffered a TBI. Miraculously, she's recovering remarkably well but TBI was not something I had ever really heard of and certainly never had to deal with prior to the accident. So this manicure is in honor of Ashley and her amazing recovery! <3 If you would like to learn more about TBI's, please visit http://www.traumaticbraininjury.com/.

The formula on this was really nice, it covered evenly in 2 coats.

I love this gorgeous emerald color, it's so rich and glowy! What do you think? Are you a fan of green nail polish?

Deborah Lippmann Harlem Nocturne

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose
(I purchased this polish with a gift card that I won from Deborah Lippmann's Twitter contest)

A quickie post today to show you one of the Deborah Lippmann polishes that I purchased with a gift card I recently won from Deborah Lippman's Name That Tune contest, that is held every Friday on Twitter at 4pm!

I chose two polishes, and the first one I'm going to show you is Harlem Nocturne, described as an intensified Indigo Ink color. It's a "luxe chrome" finish and is therefore very metallic, but smooth. I used two coats here.

I found the formula on this nice but there were some pigment particles that made some of the application a little bit chunky. I shook up the bottle vigorously and that helped to break up the particles.

This color is so pretty and I really don't have anything quite like it, as it's a chrome and I don't have many chrome polishes!

Twinsie Tuesday: Pinterest Inspiration

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I used this picture from Pinterest for my inspiration but changed the colors a bit.

Zoya Prim is on my pointer and pinky fingers, Zoya Godiva is my middle finger and Zoya Severine (one of the mini's from a recent Zoya promo) is the ring finger. I love love love Prim, it is just a gorgeous cornflower blue color! My stripes are, as usual, terrible but I still really liked this manicure.

The coats for each polish were as follows:
Prim: 2
Godiva: 3
Severine: 2

Firmoo Sunglasses, A Review!

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Firmoo recently contacted me to review a pair of their glasses and I decided to jump on the chance. I don't wear prescription glasses, but I do love sunglasses! While they provided these sunglasses to me free of charge, I did pay for $10 upgrade fee to get sunglasses, as I wanted to be able to review a product I would thoroughly use and I wear sunglasses every time I drive or am outside, even if it's overcast.

The glasses arrived securely packaged and included a hard case and a soft drawstring case. There was also a microfiber cloth for cleaning the glasses and a dual ended screwdriver for making any adjustments to the frame.

The sunglasses arrived wrapped in the microfiber cloth, in the hard case to ensure they arrived safely. The style I selected is a plastic frame with a brown to red gradient frame and a brown tortoiseshell pattern and gold tips on the ends of the stems. They are ever so slightly flexible at the frame and stem connection.

I've been wearing these for several days and I'm happy to report that they are very comfortable. They don't slide down my nose or pinch and they fit nicely. I am used to glasses that are really really big so while these are smaller than I am used to, they still provide adequate sun blockage, haha.

Not too shabby, eh? :-p

Firmoo was kind enough to provide a discount (not affiliate) code for my followers. Simply submit your email on this link to be provided with a 50% off code, good for any frames on the site! Huzzah!

Sweet Heart Polish New World Collection

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today I have the Sweet Heart Polish New World collection to share with you. This collection consists of 5 linear holographic polishes, based on Disney's Aladdin movie, one of my favorites :-)

By Order Of The Princess is a minty green - 2 coats. The holo on this wasn't as strong, but I should have done three coats, in retrospect. It is a beautiful color!

Cave of Wonders - 3 coats. A beautiful gold holograph polish.

Do You Trust Me? - 2 coats

Sultan Abu - 2 coats

Poof! What Do Ya Need? - 2 coats

Guess which was my favorite? LOL I love Poof! What Do You Need? And Sultan Abu but I really like the collection as a whole; it's very Aladdin, don't you think?

The formula on all of these polishes was really great, they didn't pool at all and were in no way patchy. Whoo!

You an purchase Sweet Heart Polish on her Etsy Shop Here.

Bonita Made To Envy

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Bonita is an exclusive to Rite Aid brand and so far, I really love the colors I've tried from the brand. This color is my favorite yet!

Made To Envy is a gorgeous teal shimmer. I used two coats but honestly could have used one and gotten complete coverage. And this baby GLOWS! LOOK AT IT GLOW! Yes, my finger is dented because I of course jacked up my nail as soon as I was ready to photograph. I was probably too busy staring AT THIS BEAUTIFUL FREAKING POLISH!

Like, just go buy this color. It's amazing.

Maybelline Color Show Rebel Bloom Polishes

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have the Maybelline Rebel Bloom LE polishes to share with you today! There were also striper polishes in the display but I did not purchase those, although they were lovely.

These polishes almost act like jellies, but aren't quite. They are more sheer than a regular creme polish but not sheer enough for me to consider them a jelly.

Fiery Tulip is a bright fuchsia color and this is really so beautiful. I feel like this is a different color than I have in my collection and I just love it. This was 2 coats, and you can still see a little bit of visible nail line (VNL).

Rose Candy is another bright polish, this was a BRIGHT neon pinky coral color. Again with two coats.

Purple Madness is a dark purple, almost indigo purple color. This was 2 coats and was more opaque than the other polishes. Love this color too!

Beach Blossom is a pink toned nude. This was a little sheer, so I used three coats. But I still liked this color, more than I thought I would.

What do you guys think? I almost didn't buy these because of the whole "low buy" (pssh, ha!) but I decided to just buy them anyway. Part of me was terrified there would be another Bleached Neons debacle and I couldn't bear to deal with that situation again.

I'm really glad to own these, they are fun summer colors and the formula's were nice on all of the polishes.

Have you spotted these polishes yet? Did you pick any up?

Twinsie Tuesday: St. Patrick's Day

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Twinsie Tuesday for today is St. Patrick's Day so I busted out SinfulColors Shamrockin', a green and lime green glitter with white flower glitter. This was one coat but I did have to fish the flower glitters out. This was over Pop-Arazzi Sapphire Desire, and with top coat.

Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Eyeshadow Palette

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Maybelline just released a Blushed Nudes 12 shadow palette, exclusive to Walmart. I happened to be in Walmart a few days ago and saw this so I had to get it, of course! This obviously looks to be comparable to the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette but with a $9.98 price tag, much more affordable!

This palette comes with two sponge tip applicators.

Top row swatches, with no primer:

Bottom row swatches, with no primer.

I haven't had the chance to wear this yet but at first swatch, this palette seems to be a little better pigmented than the original Nudes palette, thankfully.

As far as I know, this is not limited edition but as I mentioned before, it is only available at Walmart.

Bestie Twin Nails With The Little Canvas

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

For this month's BTN, we decided to use this photo from @ana0m on Instagram.

If you hadn't noticed, I really like using the same brand for these so I busted out my Zoya's and got to work.

The colors I used were Zoya Vespa (green), Purity (white), Wednesday (mint green), and Trixie (silver).

I started with two coats of Purity on my pinky and middle fingers, then I used 3 coats of Vespa on my ring, pointer and thumb. Then I (crookedly) striped some Trixie and Wednesday down the middle finger and pinky. One day I will learn to draw a straight line, but it is not this day.

I also didn't top coat any of the nails, I liked how they looked textured and a little bit satiny, rather than glossy :-)

Go check out Alaina's nails because her lines are probably straight and all that junk :-p

Zoya Kitridge

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Zoya Kitridge (or as my label says "Kirtidge") is a bright bubblegum pink creme polish. This polish is from the Zoya Tickled collection.

I used 2 coats and had no issues with formula. This was brighter in person, as well. So bright and so perfect for summer. This will be such a perfect pedi color this summer!!

Zoya Anaka

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Zoya Anaka is described as "vibrant purple-toned deep fuchsia-pink with reflective hot pink shimmer and gold microglitter" and  yeah, that's pretty much spot on. I found this on clearance at Ulta and I had never seen it before so I grabbed it. It's so vibrant and sassy, don't you think? I love this color!

Zoya Rebel

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Zoya Rebel is from the Awaken collection and is described as a sky blue metallic polish. I don't have a color like this in my collection, which is rare considering the size of my stash.

I used 2 easy coats, as per usual with Zoya :-)

Zoya can be purchased via their website or at Ulta stores.

Twinsie Tuesday: Soft & Feminine

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I busted out some Zoya's for this weeks prompt, which is Soft & Feminine. I used Zoya Hermina and Seraphina so check it out!

First, Hermina on it's own. This is two coats and please excuse the wretched cuticles. Yikes.

Then one coat of Seraphina.

So yeah.. Soft and feminine. I think this qualifies, right?

Check out the other twinsies for their soft and feminine manicures!

Zoya Harlow

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Welcome to Zoya Week! I know I usually have a Makeup Monday but I decided to treat you to a whole week of Zoya polishes :-) Lucky you, right? Zoya is one of my favorite brands for formula consistency, as I rarely have an issue with formula with my Zoya's.

Zoya Harlow is from the Matte Velvets Collection and is described as a rose plum with metallic shimmer. I adore this color, it is so beautiful! This was 2 flawless coats.

I didn't topcoat this because it was so gorgeous on its own, I got distracted and forgot to topcoat it, lol.

You can purchase Zoya polishes from their website and at Ulta.

Dance Legend Swatches

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I bought these polishes from a blog sale a while back and I'm not gonna lie: I threw this post together quickly, lol!! I usually have more polishes swatched or worn and ready to go but I'm slacking lately! Whoops!! Regardless, these are pretty polishes so no worries.

Dance Legend Learning to Fly is from the Prism collection. It's a pink very scattered holographic polish. This was 3 thin coats, no top coat.

Night Ranger is a cobalt blue polish with scattered holographic particles. This was 2 thin coats.

Obvy I love the blue a lot!

Do you guys have and Dance Legend polishes?? What are your favorites?
